The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) scoop reveals Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has proven she’s a daytime triple threat. The talented thespian, who portrays Steffy Forrester, won her third Outstanding Lead Actress Daytime Emmy Award last night.
Plus, Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge Forrester on B&B, took home his first trophy at the Daytime Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Lead Actor.
In many other categories, General Hospital (GH) took home the gold. The soap won Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress, Outstanding Younger Performer, Outstanding Guest Performer, Outstanding Directing and the biggest award of the night, Outstanding Drama. Young And The Restless (Y&R) won Outstanding Writing Team. And Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) was shut out of the major awards altogether.
Daytime Emmy Awards – Alley Mills Won Guest Performer
GH’s Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) won posthumously for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Robert Gossett (Marshall Ashford) won for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Plus Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) won Outstanding Younger Performer.
Former B&B star Alley Mills (Pamela Douglas) took home Outstanding Guest Performer, for her portrayal of GH villain Heather Webber. Mills paid tribute to her late husband Orson Bean, who passed away in an accident in February 2020.
Although Kaye didn’t attend the ceremony, B&B Executive Producer Bradley Bell accepted the acting award for him. “To write for this man is such a joy,” Bell said. “He is a complete original and a great guy.” He also got a shout out from Wood. “Thorsten Kaye – congratulations!” she said. “You fuel my creativity.”

Wood also expressed her gratitude to Bell, calling him a legend and the best boss. “And thank you for letting us just exist in those scenes in our very fast paced show, as you guys know.
“I share this with Kimberlin Brown, you’re my spirit animal, I absolutely adore you,” Wood continued. “Tanner Novlan, thank you for navigating these scenes with me and making me laugh between the scenes.”
